There are a number casinos located in the commonwealth, the biggest number being on anchored riverboats. The biggest of the Iowa casinos is the Meswaki Bingo Casino Hotel, a Native American gambling hall in Tama, with 127,669 sq.ft. of casino space, 1,500 slots, thirty table games, like twenty-one, craps, roulette, and baccarat, and numerous varieties of poker; including three eatery’s, monthly shows, and betting advice. A further substantial American Indian gambling den is the Winna Vegas, with 45,000 square feet, 668 one armed bandits, and 14 table games. In addition, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slot machines, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are numerous other popular Iowa casinos, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.

A smaller Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a river based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 one armed bandits, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend water based, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. One more Iowa water based gambling den, The Isle of Capri, is open all hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 one armed bandits, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat gambling hall in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday 21 matches.

Iowa casinos offer an awesome amount of tax revenue to the state government of Iowa, which has allowed the bankrolling of many commonwealth wide projects. Visitors have grown at a fast percentage along with the request for processors and a growth in employment. Iowa casinos have contributed to the advancement of the economy, and the affection for wagering in Iowa is across the board.
