Kyrgyzstan gambling dens
March 25th, 2024 by Iliana

The complete number of Kyrgyzstan gambling halls is something in some dispute. As details from this state, out in the very remote central section of Central Asia, can be arduous to achieve, this may not be all that surprising. Whether there are two or 3 approved casinos is the item at issue, maybe not quite the most earth-shattering bit of info that we do not have.

What certainly is true, as it is of many of the old USSR states, and definitely correct of those in Asia, is that there no doubt will be a great many more not allowed and bootleg market casinos. The switch to authorized wagering didn’t drive all the former gambling dens to come from the dark into the light. So, the battle over the total amount of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls is a minor one at most: how many authorized ones is the thing we are seeking to resolve here.

We understand that in Bishkek, the capital city, there is the Casino Las Vegas (a spectacularly unique title, don’t you think?), which has both gaming tables and one armed bandits. We will also see both the Casino Bishkek and the Xanadu Casino. Both of these offer 26 video slots and 11 table games, split between roulette, 21, and poker. Given the amazing similarity in the sq.ft. and setup of these 2 Kyrgyzstan gambling dens, it might be even more bizarre to see that they are at the same location. This seems most bewildering, so we can clearly state that the list of Kyrgyzstan’s casinos, at least the accredited ones, stops at two casinos, 1 of them having altered their title a short time ago.

The state, in common with many of the ex-Soviet Union, has undergone something of a rapid conversion to free market. The Wild East, you might say, to allude to the anarchical conditions of the Wild West an aeon and a half back.

Kyrgyzstan’s casinos are in fact worth checking out, therefore, as a bit of social research, to see cash being wagered as a form of social one-upmanship, the absolute consumption that Thorstein Veblen talked about in 19th century America.
